Recently one of our valued dog grooming Cheshire customers, Emma, told us about how impressed she was with this vet in Cheshire when her beloved Labrador dog Rex became ill. Here’s her story:
“At Precious Paws dog grooming Cheshire, I told our dog groomer, Anita that I had been a little concerned about Rex for some time. He seemed to have lost some of his energy and bounce - and most noticeably seemed stiff, particularly when getting up or down.
Anita suggested I contact a local vet in Cheshire, Cheshire Pets. She personally had used this vet in Cheshire for many years and had always been struck by their friendly approach and veterinary expertise.
We live in Knutsford so, needing a vet near Holmes Chapel and Knutsford, one of Cheshire Pet’s practices was within easy reach. I made an appointment for Rex and he was thoroughly examined by one of their qualified vets.
Rex is an older dog and the vet suspected his problems were down to arthritis. We were shown an amazing hydro facility – a dog water-walker – that lets the dog move freely whilst his weight is supported by water.
Our vet explained that the water-walker could be adjusted to suit your pet’s specific needs and unlike swimming, combines the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
Personally I was really surprised to find this kind of facility at a vet in either Holmes Chapel and Knutsford – it just shows how progressive a practice Cheshire Pets is. If you need a vet near Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, or a vet in Sandbach and Congleton, Cheshire Pets has another practice in Sandbach so distance is no problem.
Rex began a water-walker tailored programme specially created to suit his specific problems and I’m happy to say that his progress has been fantastic. Improvements were seen after just two visits!
